Why is the Apple logo half-eaten..?

Apple Co. is loved by all. However, there is one question that occupies everyone’s mind, “Why is the Apple logo half-eaten?” Several rumours abound that include stories both real and mythical. The mythical story links the Apple logo to the story of Adam and Eve, from the Bible. Eve, tempted by Satan, bites the apple to gain forbidden knowledge from the “Tree of Knowledge.” The bite of the apple therefore represents the knowledge of good and evil gained by Eve. In the same manner, the Apple logo denotes the world of knowledge it brings through its products, and that is up to the user to use for good or bad. When market analysts look at the most valuable brands, Apple always figures on top of the list. Due credit must be given to its logo that has helped make the brand what it is today. Mythical reasons apart, a theory that has gained popularity over the years is that the logo at the back of your iPhone or Mac, is in fact a tribute to Alan Mathison Turing, the man who laid the foundation for the modern-day computer. A half-eaten apple was found by Turing’s bedside when he died. Quick forward to two decades and a bunch of folks making PCs in a garage. These people had a name for their product and were only in need of a logo. The men knew of coding and Turing and of the latter’s commitment to both PCs and coding. And thus emerged the Apple logo, a commentary on his life’s work and tragic death, a single bite removed from the apple graphic picked for their organisation. Apple’s use of the logo is extremely powerful, its name and corresponding pictorial icon is one and the same. The simple logo design deftly carries the weight of centuries of meaning. Steve Jobs rightly said that Innovation is what distinguishes a leader from a follower. The Apple brand today, remains as trendy as ever before. It carries an aspirational value, with people queueing up to own the products, be it an iPhone, iPad or MacBook. The latest Apple product to join the bandwagon is the iPhone7. Millions of people have already set their hearts on it but cannot afford it.

Part of the role of photography is to exaggerate, and that is an aspect that I have to puncture. I do that by showing the world as I really find it.

I work best when people are here to puncture me..☺☺

Something to Tell

My Story

Best Friend

To You My Best Friend-Hemangi
The very first time the two of us met,
We were caught in a friendship’s net.

You are I, together gelled so damn well,
Every time I was in a fix I would ring your door bell,

As time passed and we grew closer and closer,
To the world outside, you gave me an easier exposure,

You made me understand what is right and wrong,
I have depended on your advice all my life along,

I will always be thankful for moments we shared,
They brought us closer to each other like butter and bread,

And those crazy things we did together,
Coz’ they turned us into best friends forever!!

Something Unsaid…..

something you just have to move on and put that chapter of life in the past. Dont close the book, just turn the page..

For a life that never was!
I was running here and there
Making long and high jumps
Working like donkeys, dogs and ducks
Without caring for me or myself
For a life, that I wanted to live
I never knew that that life is always with me
I just forgot to live
We generally don’t value ourselves, we don’t value the people around us- our colleagues, friends and families.
We always keep ourselves entangled in the complex web of expectations and self esteems.
Trust me, when you are alone, standing on the rough road of life, all those moments- the good and bad memories will ask you to bring back all those people around you again. But it will be too late!
Don’t just wait for ‘that’ life. It’s always with you. Just be with it and start living and start caring.

Snapshot: My journey

Stranger-Who created my lovestory….❤😘 I was traveling with a tiny theater company doing vaudeville-type shows in community centers and bars—anywhere we could earn $25 each plus enough gas money to get to the next small town in our ramshackle yellow bus. As we passed through Bozeman, Montana, in early February, a heavy snow slowed us down. The radio crackled warnings about black ice and poor visibility, so we opted to impose on friends who were doing a production of Fiddler on the Roof at Montana State University. See a show, hit a few bars, sleep on a sofa: This is as close to prudence as it gets when you’re an itinerant 20-something troubadour. After the show, well-wishers and stagehands milled behind the curtain. I hugged my coat around me, humming that “If I Were a Rich Man” riff from the show, aching for sunrise and sunset, missing my sisters. What a wonderful show that was—and is. A heavy metal door swung open, allowing in a blast of frigid air, and clanged shut behind two men who stomped snow from their boots. One was big and bearlike in an Irish wool sweater and gaiters; the other was as tall and skinny as a chimney sweep in a peacoat. “… but I’m just saying, it would be nice to see some serious theater,” one of them said. “Chekhov, Ibsen, anything but this musical comedy shtick.” “Excuse me?” I huffed, hackles raised. “Anyone who doesn’t think comedy is an art form certainly hasn’t read much Shakespeare, have they?” I informed them that I was a “professional shticktress” and went on to deliver a tart, pedantic lecture on the French neoclassics, the cultural impact of Punch and Judy as an I Love Lucy prototype, and the importance of Fiddler on the Roof as both artistic and oral history. The shrill diatribe left a puff of frozen breath in the air. I felt my snootiness showing like a stray bra strap as the sweep in the peacoat rolled his eyes and walked away. The bear stood there for a moment, an easy smile in his brown eyes. Then he put his arms around me and whispered in my ear, “I love you.”

Climbing is the activity of using one’s hands, feet, or any other part of the body to ascend a steep object. It is done recreationally, competitively, in trades that rely on it, and in emergency rescue and military operations. It is done indoors and out, on natural and manmade structures.

Indoor climbing

From absolute beginners to seasoned veterans indoor climbing walls give climbers the opportunity to climb regardless of the weather. Regular route-setting maintains a constant flow of new challenges for climbers of all levels. Many walls offer instruction and coaching to climbers of all abilities who wish to brush up on their skills or improve their personal performance.

Trad climbing & Bouldering

Ireland has an amazing wealth of high-quality rock which is suitable for trad-climbing. Not only has Ireland a long and rich history of trad-climbing, we also have a huge amount of un-climbed rock to keep future generations pushing their limits.

Bouldering in Ireland has undergone a huge surge in popularity in recent years. Glendalough in Wicklow, the Mourne Mountains, the Gap of Dunloe and the boulder field beneath Fairhead all have a huge number of boulder problems.

Sport climbing

To date there is a limited amount of sport climbing in Ireland. The most established and frequented sport climbing venue is Ballykeefe Quarry in Kilkenny.

Competition climbing

If you are a climber who likes to test your ability then competition climbing may be just the thing for you. There is a variety of climbing competitions to suit climbers across a wide range of abilities and ages.
